Bangkok - Hotel Siam Intercontinental (Postcard)

I stayed at the Hotel Siam Intercontinental on my trip in 1967. Hotel Siam was one of Bangkok's initial top rated-class hotels. It was in a park on land owned by the royal estate.

This was the primary developing, with the reception, restaurant, and other public places. The rooms were in two separate, 1-story buildings. The red roof at the left is a single of them.

One evening I walked to the Hotel Erawan, about 600 meters away, for dinner. The Erawan was relatively older, and was most likely the finest hotel in Bangkok ahead of Hotel Siam was opened. It was my greatest dinner in Bangkok.

Building began in 1964. The hotel was demolished in 2002, at the end of its lease. A luxurious shopping center, Siam Paragon, was built in its place.

Vancouver Sutton Hotel View from the room

You will not feel this... it is snowing in Bangkok !!!

I know it is hard to believe... but there how would you make clear this? It is snowing correct outdoors of the Sutton hotel in Bangkok. This is the view on Silom Street, for these who are familiar with Bangkok, this need to quite easy to understand. So, what is going on with the weather? As mention on a handful of day ahead of about the unpredictable climate that was in Spain. And now it is snowing in Bangkok! What is up coming?

I can't feel that this is really occurring! Snowing in Bangkok? No way! And if you are actually familiar with Bangkok, then you would know that... this is NOT Bangkok, duh !!! So there is no Snow in Bangkok, take it easy... our planet is fine, do not worry about it.

Hey! Really don't blame me for this... my cousin, Benz, send me a message saying that it is snowing in Bangkok and I totally believed it. Now I am just passing on the foolishness, just for today. Joyful April Fool Day !!!! ^_^

Okay, now you got to make up your very own story to pass on the message for April Fool Day.

For the picture... it is certainly the view from the Sutton hotel's balcony that I stay with my close friends. I took this image after the New Year countdown at "Glow Ball", a couple of block from the hotel. It was the initial time that I actually see and sense the snow falling, a genuine snow, from the sky... and it was for the duration of the 1st hour of 2009. Incredible memory!!!
